Nonprofit behavioral health agencies are the region’s largest employers of therapists outside hospital systems. Community mental health centers, school-based programs, FSP and wraparound teams, crisis response, and co-occurring treatment programs all hire clinicians continuously, and many accept registered associates and provide the supervision hours licensure requires.
This page gathers every live therapist, clinician, and clinical supervisor opening on the board — licensed LCSW, LMFT, and LPCC roles alongside associate-level positions — refreshed several times a day from the employers’ own career pages.

Nonprofit clinical work is where most California therapists earn their hours: agencies under county mental health contracts hire AMFTs, ASWs, and APCCs into paid positions with built-in clinical supervision. Caseloads are diverse, documentation follows county and Medi-Cal standards, and bilingual clinicians are in persistent demand.
Once licensed, clinicians move into lead, clinical supervisor, and program manager roles, or into specialized tracks such as crisis teams, forensic programs, and school-based services. Public service loan forgiveness and county retention stipends also make nonprofit clinical careers more competitive than the base salary alone suggests.
