Direct support professionals help adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities live, work, and take part in their communities. Nonprofit providers funded through California’s regional center system hire DSPs for group homes, supported living, day programs, and community integration, and they hire continuously.
This page collects every live DSP and residential support opening on the board — full-time, part-time, overnight, and weekend shifts — updated several times a day from the providers’ own career pages.

Most DSP roles require a high school diploma, a driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check and first aid/CPR certification; employers provide the rest of the training, including California’s DSP certification coursework. Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in the people you support matter more than prior credentials.
DSP experience leads directly into lead DSP, residential coordinator, job coach, and program manager roles, and it is the most common background among people who go on to careers in behavioral health, nursing, and social work.
