RN Clinician Full-time positions available in San Diego County

RESPONSIBILITIES Under direction of the Coordinator, Nursing Services, this position will perform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify the healthcare and developmental program needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. The nurse serves as a clinical resource to Regional Center staff by assisting in the development of health-related goals for the Individual Program Plan (IPP). In addition, the nurse collaborates with community agencies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate and support the implementation of the IPP, ensuring that individuals receive appropriate, person-centered services and care.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the National League for Nursing (NLN); a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university is preferred. A valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California is required.

EXPERIENCE Two (2) years of nursing experience in a health care setting. Experience in working with individuals with a developmental disability, and in a consultative role is desirable.

OTHER Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision; function within an Interdisciplinary or Planning Team setting; prepare clear and concise reports. Knowledge of growth and development; effect of cultural and social patterns on health; organization and functions of social, health and other support service agencies; current nursing practice methods and procedures; and state and federal legislation related to service for individuals with developmental disabilities.

STARTING SALARY $39.69 to $43.66 an hour
