Appeals and Resolutions Coordinator

Appeals and Resolutions Coordinator Full-time position available in San Diego (Kearny Mesa) RESPONSIBILITIES Under the general supervision of the Appeals and Resolution Manager, will perform the day-to-day duties as they pertain to appeals and complaints. Assist in the coordination and resolution of client appeals, vendor appeals, facility appeals, citizen complaints, whistleblower complaints, and 4731 complaints on behalf of the Agency. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Master's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a Human Services field such as Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology or Nursing and three (3) years' related experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities in a professional capacity. KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of California laws related to the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act, Titles 17 and 22 of the California Code of Regulations, client's rights, appeals and complaint processes. OTHER Position requires reliable and timely transportation to perform regular job duties on a routine basis out of the office. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for use of a personal registered vehicle with proof of insurance and a valid driver's license.
