About the role

Amity Foundation, an internationally acclaimed Teaching and Therapeutic Community, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor (MSW/MFT) to support prison and re-entry programs in Los Angeles County.

About the Position: The Clinical Supervisor (MSW/MFT) will support program and case managers by assuring the quality of clinical service through individual and group supervision techniques. Responsibilities include completing bi-weekly clinical file reviews for supervised staff, establishing professional development goals, ensuring clinical records meet Medical Assistance standards and DHS licensing regulations, and liaising with DHS, the Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR), and community providers to facilitate services and stabilize clients in permanent housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as liaison between Amity and the Office of Diversion and Reentry to reduce system-level barriers and implement clinical strategies
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to case managers and clients
  • Provide clinical crisis interventions with clients and treatment teams
  • Plan and schedule workload assignments and adjust priorities in consultation with management
  • Support the Teaching and Therapeutic Community model and train faculty
  • Provide consultation and support to staff on clinical and administrative issues
  • Share rotation providing after-hours on-call supervision
  • Provide backup clinical care when needed
  • Participate in faculty training and DHS-required training

Position works from Los Angeles location and in the field, providing services in homes, shelters, streets, DHS facilities, and throughout Los Angeles County.

Qualifications: Required: MSW or MFT with experience working with mental health, substance abuse, homeless, and/or re-entry populations. Experience with crisis intervention, hospitalization, psychiatry, and mental health diagnosis. Valid driver's license and vehicle registration. Master's degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy.

Preferred: Previous clinical experience with individuals recently released from jail or prison. Previous supervisory experience.

Required Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Extensive knowledge of non-profit organizations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
