Part-time Resident Advisor

Under the supervision of the Director of Wallis House, the Part-time Weekend Resident Advisor provides onsite supervision and support to residents, as well as overseeing the safety and security of the facility.

Essential Functions:

• Facilitate all intakes for new residents, including collecting data, inspecting resident belongings, and orienting residents to house expectations and guidelines
• Provide Residents with a list of house rules
• Liaise with the housekeeper to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate resident's needs
• Conduct room inspections to ensure Residents are properly maintaining their area, clean and neat manner per house rules
• Ensure safety and security within the house at all times
• Provide administrative support by answering the phone and greeting visitors and volunteers, ensuring that they have a positive experience
• Check in with Residents who are on-site to ensure Resident safety and welfare
• Respond to resident complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with conflict resolution in coordination with Resident Case Manager, always aiming to maintain a fair, positive, and supportive culture
• Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences among the agency's client population
• Actively participate in a quality improvement project
• Take on special projects or additional duties as assigned
